During the 4th of July weekend we went out to watch fireworks from the water.  Having eight people in the boat was more almost more than the boat could handle, so we chugged slowly from the National City boat launch. This launch was much less crowded than Shelter Island and was worth the drive on a holiday. While we were cooking dinner anchored at this spot near the Coronado bridge, Mark hooked his biggest fish halibut.  He was dropshotting a 4” gulp bait in about 15 feet of water.

We had great front row seats for the fireworks from the water.  San Diego Bay was much less hectic from a boat than Mission Bay has been in past years.  There are four fireworks barages that are synchronized. You can see two of them in the picture to the left.
